Autism is a brain development disorder that restricts social interface to brim up to its full stature. It causes impediments for communication and also leads to repetitive behavior, all starting even before a child completes 3-4 years. According to research done, it is said that autism is largely a hereditary disorder. It is also to be noted that the genetics of autism is complex and actually unclear about the responsibility of the genes. Screening the disorder is possible by the parents in childhood as the symptoms can be found in childhood and are identifiable.

If a child unfortunately has this particular disorder it can be detected in the early childhood by the parents by the symptoms of unusual behaviors. After screening the disorder it is very much necessary that treatment should be given to the concerned individual without any delay. Postponing the treatment may lead to longer duration outcome so delay in the treatment is not a desirable option.

While screening it is possible that you might encounter some of the following signs which are like:

• If you happen to find no such babbling reactions till the age of 12 months, better check up with a child specialist immediately without delaying the matter.
• Also if you happen to find not a single word by the child till he or she turns 16 month old, then as a precautionary measure it is better to consult a child specialist to probe in the matter for a solution.
• If the child also does not react to any kind of social gestures like pointing, waving, saying goodbye by the time the child turns 12 months old, its better to make a probe into the situation.
• If you happen to find out that no two words spontaneous phrases have been uttered by the child till the age of 24 months measures should be taken.
• If there is any loss of any language or respective social skills at any particular age, then it is mandatory to consult a physician immediately.
