Studies have revealed that around 50% of the autistic children do not learn to talk. They use stereotyped language and also use repetitive words while talking, which known as echolalia. They also find it very difficult to start a conversation or even continuing with it once it has started. Along with speaking children affected with autism cannot listen properly. They fail to understand if someone if talking something about humor. They are sometimes able to understand the exact meaning of the words but cannot make out the meaning implied with it.
The above discussed Autism Symptoms are visible in childhood days, more specifically. Within 3 years of age. But, some other Autism Symptoms becomes visible in comparatively older children. Sometimes, Autism Symptoms are visible during adolescece, teenage years or even in adulthood.
But, even if Autism Symptoms are visible these people are able to live on their own. The degree to which an autistic person can live in a better depends upon the intelligence level of that person.
